CAR JUMP

HOMTPA's Car Jump stunt, developed by Darren Grillo, may not look spectacular... but is amazing that it works at all.

While any HO may be able to jump a few inches with some degree of success, the problem with any longer jump is simple physics as it applies to the cars revolving motor.
Darren's specially modified AFX-Magnatraction chassis incorporates a locking system which almost instantly stops the motor from spinning once power is lost... keeping the 'Coors Light' stunt car from "Gyring" off course. The rear slip gear then lets the car coast, giving the car time to 'find' the slot.

With little more than 2 or 3 test runs (needed to calculate speed and starting position), the Coors Light stunt car can successfully jump a scale 80' (approx. 15") a whopping 8 out of 10 times!!!
