GREENBRIER RACEWAY PARK

Park Ride - US Ferris Wheel

      Greenbrier Raceway Park's Ferris
Wheel is one of the few remaining US Royal Tire Ferris Wheel
replicas as seen at the '64/'65 Worlds Fair held in New York.
In 1966, the real Ferris Wheel was moved to Michigan, just
        outside Detroit.
With the Ferris Wheel insides removed and the tire sides pushed
        together, today this
        icon is used as a
        giant billboard
sporting the company name change - Uniroyal.

As with all action rides at GRP, the Ferris Wheel is tied into
        Greenbrier Raceway's timing system...
       When track power is on,
the Ferris Wheel will not run, When track power goes off (end of
        heat, track call, etc)
the Ferris Wheel starts spinning ever so slowly.
